Coaches Info

There will be a coach’s sign in table at the front of the entrance inside the foyer, this is
where you will need to sign in and you will receive a lanyard with an Emerald Team ID card. It will get you in and out of the event and hospitality during the weekend.

Coaches Meetings:
Mandatory coaches meetings will be held by the computer table during the beginning open warm-ups of each session. You will need to have your Emerald Team Challenge ID Lanyard and USAG card with you for verification.  If you do not have your ETC Id lanyard you will need to go out the sign in table to get one.  Rotation schedule will be passed out at the coaches meeting and/or available at the computer table. 

Coaches Raffle:
Make sure you attend the meeting to register for an extra chance to win at the coaches’ raffle.  Winner’s names will be posted in hospitality following the end of the session.

Coaches Hospitality:
Once again, we are serving fabulous meals in our coach’s hospitality area.  This area is located in back of one of the compition gyms, look for the signs. Hospitality will be open before each session for breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday. You must have your emerald lanyard to enter.  Children are not allowed in this area as all hospitality is intended for juges and coaches only.
Coaches Raffle winners are posted in this area.
This is also, where you will pick up your complimentary coaches gift.  

Results:
Approximately 20 minutes after each session, a copy of results for each session will be available in session file (one copy per team - please), located at a table by the computer desks in each gym. 
Results will also be posted in the main hallway.  After the meet, results will be available online.

Awards:
 Girls: Awards for each session will be divided into 3 (sometimes 4) age divisions at each level.  Awards are given out to 30% in event and AA.
Awards will take place in the awards area imeadiatly following each session. The level 10 awards will take place on the floor after the session.  The level 8 team awards will be given out at the end of session 5 (combining scores from both level 8 sessions)
 Gymnasts or a representative must be present to receive individual awards.  In the case of a shortage of trophies/medals, awards will be mailed.
Boys:  All boys will be given all around medals, there will be team/session trophies for the session 12 participants

Emerald Team Challenge Award
The Emerald Team Challenge Award will be awarded after the final session of competition with eligible teams.  The award is based on the following criteria.
A gym must have at least 3 or more gymnasts competing in five separate levels (women’s only). 
Scores will be tabulated from a team’s highest score on each event at each level (max 5) to come up with the Emerald team score.   
Top 4 team scores will win the Emerald team Challenge Award
1st Place - $1000.00
2nd Place - $750.00
3rd Place - $500.00
4th Place - $250.00
Emerald team trophies and checks will be mailed if winning gym representative is not present.
Meet format:
Girls – Capitol Cup Modified – bump
Boys – Capitol Cup Modified – timed warm-ups together

Girls age divisions are set by the following dates: 
Levels 4 – 6, age as of 4/24/10
Levels 7,9,10, age as of 3/21/10
Level 8, age as of 4/11/10

Boys all levels as of Sept 1 2009         


Coaches Party

Our new head coach Todd will be host of this year’s Emerald Team Challenge coach’s party.  We will be returning to the Hop Valley bar which is located in front of our Host hotels on Gateway Street in Springfield.

Don’t miss out on the fun, prizes and chances for free drinks.  The party will start ½ hour after the end of the level 10 session on Saturday.
